With the Union Chain Bridge disassembled, the views from our regular drone footage have changed somewhat. There’s still plenty taking place onsite, so take a look at the latest update to see progress on the bridge’s conservation.
The scaffold has been erected around the Scottish tower and modifications made to the access platform on the English side to allow for masonry works to take place. Excavation of the Scottish anchor block is also underway.
Meanwhile, behind the scenes, blast cleaning and inspection of the bridge’s components is taking place.
