This ‘Digital Gallery’ showcases the brilliant bridge design work done by children from Scremerston First School.
Local children, working with our learning team, were invited to “try on” the career of civil engineering in this creative challenge.
They were asked to reimagine a modern bridge over the River Tweed, if it were built today, where the Union Chain Bridge is currently located.
Pupils have done extremely well in coming up with various designs, with lots of interesting uses for materials, and including many extra details such as lights, rainbow paints, pillars, and even a shark in the Tweed.
Well done everyone!
