Would you like to be involved in sharing and celebrating the history and heritage of the Union Chain Bridge? If so, we’d love to hear from you.

We work alongside local people and community groups to ensure the Union Chain Bridge project reflects the needs and interests of people locally. To achieve this, we need the support of volunteers across all aspects of the project.

Volunteering is a great way to share your skills and knowledge, or you might want to volunteer to learn new things. It can be an opportunity to meet new people, get engaged and keep active, while also giving something back your community.

Among other activities, our volunteers will have the opportunity to get involved with:

We are currently recruiting volunteers to help us devise walking guides near the bridge site and archive research volunteers to help us uncover untold Union Chain Bridge stories.

The archival and archaeological research project will be kick-started with valuable training from an internationally respected heritage and archaeology organisation.
